Words can’t express the horror…The Cowsills perform the Johnny Cash classic Folsom Prison Blues on some crappy TV show. Ugh. Just painful.
Lowlights:
- messing up the pronunciation of “Fole-sum” (he says “full-sum” the whole time)
- “I shot a man in Reno just to see him die”. WRONG. NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO. It’s “I shot a man in Reno just to WATCH him die”. You just cannot mess up that line.
- Like 15-year-olds have any appreciation for what it’s like to kill a man, spend your life in prison, and have to listen to a train go by. It’s worse than listening to teenagers sing about love.
Watching this makes me want to punch myself in the face. So of course I have to share…

I am so glad you went back, found this and put it up. It’s so bad it’s funny.

You also forgot the mangling of the word “railroad” into something that sounds like “ruhr-road” towards the end! That’s surely a low light!
