KT Tunstall is WAY Cooler Than I Thought She Was…

“Black Horse and a Cherry Tree” was a guilty pleasure song of mine. Always liked it, but was always a little ashamed of it. But today I ran across a video of KT performing the song live. And she’s a looper! I had no idea. That makes her so much cooler in my book. I figured she was just another no-talent modern country ass clown. But lo and behold she can actually play. And loop. So I’m officially an out-of-the-closet KT Tunstall fan.

If you’re not familiar with looping, it’s basically using a fancy looping machine to record all the parts of a song, live, and play along with them. Another artist who uses looping is the sublimely odd Keller Williams. Check out this clip for another example. And by the way, if you ever have the chance to see Keller live jump at it. He puts on one of the most entertaining shows I’ve ever seen.
