‹ Oh, So THOSE are the Lyrics to “Yellow Ledbetter”… •

According to Variety the ad geniuses in Hollywood are working on a movie adaptation of the classic 80s cartoon Thundercats. Warner Brothers has purchased the rights to a script by Paul Sopocy, and plan on having him direct a CGI animated feature. This will be his first feature film. Oh goody.
Does this seem like a shameless attempt to cash in on my generations epic sense of nostalgia? Or is it just me…

WHAT?!?!!! You hated Thundercats? Blasphemy! The cartoon was awesome. Come on. I mean you’ve gotta admit that Cheetara was hot for a half-woman/half-cheetah cartoon character.
I’m only dreading the movie because it seems like another attempt by Hollywood to destroy my childhood (see Transformers…)

Sorry, never got into that cartoon. Don’t really have a reason that I can remember, other than just not liking it.
But yes you are totally correct. This movie proves two things. 1) Hollywood can’t let things be, I mean really what kid knows what ThunderCats even is! and 2) There are no original ideas left in Hollywood, they’re down to making movies based on crappy cartoons…….. 20 years after the fact!
