‹ Kevin Smith’s Answer to Kimmel’s Songs (Very NSFW) •
Details have leaked about another character in The Dark Knight. British actress Sarah Jayne Dunn is on board to play Harley Quinn, a psychotic clown who just happens to be The Joker’s girlfriend.
IMDB lists Dunn in the cast for the movie, but doesn’t give a character name. Her online resume is a different story however. It clearly lists her as Harley Quinn. There’s no word on whether Harley will get a substantial role or serve only as a henchwoman for The Joker.
For those of you who are unfamiliar with Harley Quinn, here’s a brief introduction:
BTW, Kevin Smith likes Harley Quinn so much he named his daughter after her. So that makes her cool in my book.
The Dark Knight is due to hit theaters July 18th.

True, she wasn’t in the the movie as Harley Quinn. Supposedly she was Maroni’s mistress, but I don’t remember seeing her. Regardless, I’m certainly not disappointed by anything in this movie…

I’m not surprised that Harley wasn’t in the film.. because the joker didn’t have her till much later after meeting batman.. because batman put the joker in arkham and that’s where he meets Harley.. she then helps him escape from arkham. but you would know that if you ever watched the animated series or read the comics

I’ll take your word for all that, since I haven’t read all the comics or seen much of the animated series. That being said, they haven’t stuck 100% to the original storylines anyway, so it was possible she’d show up.

I was very disappointed that Harley Quinn wasn’t in this film…I think she is sooooo cool!!! Same with the Joker. (By the way, Heath Ledger did fabulous…) Hopefully she’s in the next movie, (if there is one…) We can only hope.

can’t believe she wasn’t in it. and i don’t know if they’ll continue with the joker saga; people will complain because whatever replacement they find won’t do as well as heath ledger (he was amazing) and so we might NEVER seen harley on the big screen! D:

Harley is one of my favorite Batman characters, so i wouldve loved to seen her in the movie, but I’ll be honest personally I dont think Sarah Dunn would’ve been right for the part anyway…She was listed on IMBD as being in the movie as Maroni’s Mistress …I’ll be honest I’ve seen it 3 times and I don’t even slightly remember her face in the movie…so perhaps she wasn’t a memorable face…I personally would like to see Brittany Murphy do Harley if she’s ever put in the movies. She can play a really twisted character pretty well
