Jack Bauer will be making his comeback to TV a couple months earlier than anticipated. Fox is working on a prequel to next January’s season 7 of 24, focusing on the two years between seasons 6 and 7.
Once the writers strike started Fox announced season 7 would be postponed, since the show is typically presented with no repeats or breaks in its schedule. The prequel will be two hours long and will appear in the fall, with the full season following in January.
