Robert Downey Jr. is a hot commodity in Hollywood right now. Fresh off the success of Iron Man and Tropic Thunder he’s teaming with directory Guy Ritchie to bring Sherlock Holmes to a new generation of moviegoers. Unlike previous movie incarnations of the famed detective, Ritchie and Downey’s Holmes will be active and sporting, in addition to analytical. Jude Law is on board to play his sidekick Watson, and the eminently hot Rachel McAdams will play his love interest Irene.
Sherlock Holmes is currently filming in London, and Just Jared managed to snag these shots of Downey in costume.
What do you think? A little too Chaplin-esque? Maybe. My beef is with the hat. Where’s Sherlock’s trademark Deerstalker? It’s like Iron Man without his suit. It just ain’t right.
