Director Steven Soderbergh is bringing us Che (Guerilla), starring Benicio Del Toro as Latin American revolutionary and cultural icon Che Guevara. Because Soderbergh has a knack for doing things a little differently, the story of Che’s life is broken into two movies, or rather one movie in two parts. This gives the audience four hours learn all about the man whose face ironically makes lots of money for poster and t-shirt companies marketing to naive college students.
Del Toro won Best Actor at Cannes for the role, and the movie has gotten a ton of critical acclaim (with Roger Ebert naming it one of the best movies of the year). Check out the trailer below, which shows footage from both parts:
