‹ Another Trailer for Zack and Miri Make a Porno •
Kevin Smith’s fun with the MPAA just never ends. His latest kerfuffle is over the poster for Zack and Miri Make a Porno, which shows stars Seth Rogan and Elizabeth Banks and a couple of tufts of hair.
The MPAA decided it was too racy for American audiences, so only our Canadian brethren will get to see it grace movie theaters. Does anyone else just think this is silly?
Ignoring the controversy for a second, let’s discuss the poster itself. Does anyone else find it interesting that Rogan looks alarmed at the prospect of the head in front of him, while Banks looks thrilled? What is this telling us about the characters? Obviously the heads are supposed to represent Rogan and Banks as well, so does this tell us that Banks is more on board with the porno than Rogan? This seems contrary to the trailers, which show her having reservations. Perhaps I’m just reading too much into this…
