Regardless, “I Wish” is a great song, and the video still holds up, in spite of the Forest Gump opening.
A question popped into my head while I was listening to this: Why were rappers obsessed with 1964 Impalas? Skee wished he had one. Eazy-E cruised down the street jacking bitches and smacking hos in one in “Boyz in the Hood”, and his son Lil Eazy-E urged us to “Drop that ass like a 64 Impala” in “Gangsta Shit”. Plus every rap video in the 90′s had at least one. I don’t get it. They’re not cool cars. Seriously, I need someone to explain to me why this car is cool:
