‹ Happy Birthday Christopher Walken! •
I’ve always liked Cake (both the band and the baked good). What I really admire about the band is that they never tried to sound like anyone else. They just went out and did what they did. And it was cool. Their album Fashion Nugget is one of the forgotten masterpieces of the 90s. Ok, “The Distance” probably isn’t forgotten, since by my count it got 74.2 billion plays on the radio. But the rest of the album kicks ass.
Anyway, even liking Cake as much as I do, I don’t think I could have been prepared to hear them cover Black Sabbath. But they’re version of “War Pigs” is actually pretty damn good. Check it out:

This is the most awkward and painful thing i have ever listened to…and what the hell is with the snowglobe wand, is he the wicked witch of the south that we never heard about.

First of all, it would be a good witch of the south (the wicked witches were east and west).
Second of all, it’s awkward because I put in the wrong clip… That’s not Cake, it’s the Flaming Lips… Doh!
