Trailer for Wes Anderson’s The Fantastic Mr. Fox

Let me go ahead and say it: Wes Anderson is an overrated filmmaker. Really overrated. I have never even LIKED one of his movies, much less understood the rabid devotion of his fans. His movies range from grungily bad (Bottle Rocket), to pretentiously bad (Rushmore), to bafflingly bad (The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou). So it’s safe to say that when he has a new movie coming out, I don’t get excited. Except…

His next movie is an animation adaptation of Roald Dahl’s classic story The Fantastic Mr. Fox. It looks like an animated, farm-based version of Ocean’s Eleven, right down to George Clooney voicing the title character. Sounds good to me. Check it out:

The Fantastic Mr. Fox sneaks into theaters November 13th.
